WELCOMING WORDS FROM PENOHIO'S REGISTRAR

I'm excited to meet you, and welcome you to PenOhio! By building bonds among great teachers, students and schools, we can inspire better writing across Ohio!

One of my jobs is to help get your teams seated for competition. And many times, that can mean changing locations, or making an accommodation. Up front, I want to encourage you to reach out an connect with PenOhio to let us know what you need and how we can best serve you. We promise to do our best to meet your needs. Please feel free to reach me anytime at jlovelace@penohio.org.

A tip as you are starting out (learned from the school of hard knocks!), be sure to identify the people who will accompany your teams to tournaments as (1) judges; and (2) adult supervisors. It helps to make sure you have extra hands on tournament day. It really is a major experience for the students.

Good luck this year. And above all, enjoy it! PenOhio is a blast!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SCHOOLS: REGIONAL SITE HOSTS STILL NEEDED!!

PenOhio Member Schools,

As you can see from the Official Registration Grid, PenOhio is growing by leaps and bounds! There are many wonderful things happening behind the scenes, too, that we can't wait to share with you!!

One BIG CHALLENGE we still face is to quickly confirm site hosts for the balance of the tournaments noted on the grid as "TBD". If you see the date and location as "TBD" that means that PenOhio has many proposals pending with schools and institutions asking them to host, but as yet, we do not have a confirmed location for that particular location.

How can you help?? If your school can host a particular tournament, or if you know of another site who might host, send Erika Pfeiffer an email at epfeiffer@penohio.org.

If PenOhio does not get confirmed sites for tournaments, schools will have to be moved to the next nearest location(s) to compete. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause. However, the league is dependent upon schools working together, and that includes facilities making themselves available for competitions.

Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to a fantastic year ahead!!
